You are so correct. The pandemic really had a great effect on several companies. Some companies had to pause of operation. So lay of its staff. I know a number of persons personally that was affect by the pandemic. They got layed-off due to the pandemic.
We can only imagine the effects of the pandemic, I really feel for those who has sad experience during that difficult time, let's hope crypto currency market makes up for that loss, lol

It is very important to motivate employees when you're changing then from one office to another, this may enable them to work effectively and also improve their output in terms of productivity to the organisation. One of the ways to motivate and employee is to let them have a sense of belonging to your establishments, let them also see and belive that they have a future with you and that you won't disappoint them. Shower them with gifts and give them surprised promotions.

I don't know why some company lost that simple gesture! Because of the pandemics and economy cripple, some companies reduce staffs salary without there intervention or notice ahead but they did it just like that.
 
The only ways an employer can motivate his employees is by appreciating their contributions to the business by the way of promotions, increasing salaries, paying employees vacation allowances, leave allowances and some other incentives to boost the moral of the employees at work.
 
My wife works in the biggest bank in our country with an executive position. Their chairman who owns the bank still handles the organizational setup (it should be the president) because she still wants to be in charge of the business. Every year there is a change in the setup or departments and units under a department. My wife was once removed as head of a unit for 3 years but now she is back to handling a unit of 135 subordinates. Some of my wife's peers resigned due to the reorganization but my wife stayed and now she is again okay.
 
As their are openly the company has a room for improvements as they have even fair for the employees so the employees feel special to the company thus they will give their best to satisfy their customer so compensation is a must for them.

Employees motivation plays a very vital role in the operation of a company... employees are very important as they determine the extent of productivity of a company... so they need to be appreciated and taken care of by any business. that's it
 
Business organizations change from time to time, rules, regulations, policies change and this can take a toll on the workers especially if it was sudden. Employees should be motivated and made to understand the reasons behind the change and the benefits it will bring.
 
As for me I will advise you to master how to appreciate workers when you seeing changes in your business or company, when talking about changes I mean in good changes and also always make them smiles so that they can able to do more and better in your company or business, means keep them going without looking back
