Which should one go for: skills or higher education pursuit?

Most people say that the way the world is going, more emphasis will be placed on secular skills than on University degrees. But should this be the case? As important as skills are, should higher education be relegated to the background?
I need your opinions on this.
Both are important, infact for me education is more important, it gives you the impetus to succeed in the skill you learn. I know some people who really succeed in business and later had to complete their education.

I would always advise you get both if it's possible, as the world we live in today is quite demanding and competitive, having one of those might eventually not be enough to get you to your desire destination.
Having both gives you way more confidence to go out and achieve your dreams in life.

In the society that we are now it's very to to first go for education because education gives you a knowledge, lot of exposure and dicipline which will make you a better person when applied it in the society. going for education gives you confidence in dealing with situation and how to handle things better than someone without education. I will advise you that after school you can now go and learn skill which you will learn it with ease.

In my opinion we must have to prefer good skills but in our society there is a big problem related to it that the administration staff want the employees with good skills but they also want higher education as well they didn't prefer the person for job that has only skills.

Skills and higher education are both important, but in my country skills is better than higher education because after you graduated their won't be job opportunity and you will later have to learn a skill to survive.

both skills and higher education are very essential as both are sources of kno ledge but it it will be better to stick with education first because it will give you a guide in running the skills and it will also help in aiding your learning.education should always be everyone's priority

I won't lie but these days, you are relevant based on your skills. So if the pursuit of higher education is only going to give you just another paper to your name, don't bother. However, you can kill two birds with one stone by pursuing that education in a very relevant field. Something practical and very applicable to the required skills of the modern world.

Which ever one you decide to go for or focus can not be entirely wrong because it depends on you. Higher education is good because it helps you build on what you have already with better chance of getting a koby. Skills is good because it can provide you with something with which you can set yourself up.

Nothing should stop you from acquiring skills, not even a higher education. Skill is also good because it fetches more money than education. But when you get a skill although it might be difficult at first to get consumers, with time you will be comfortably earning much on your own.

Both. One shouldn't hinder the other if one is really serious about what one wants to do. Education is very important so is skills too. Your skills are why make you want to stand on your own as your own boss instead of getting employed. What gives you a upper hand is the Education you acquire. Educated people are respected people.

No doubt you understand the importance of higher education. Higher education can lead to many benefits, including a prosperous career and financial security. In the 21st century, education plays an even more significant role in other aspects of your life. Attaining a higher education can increase your opportunities and improve your overall quality of life.

Skills are acquired during education. We are mold by the education. so you don't need to worry about your skill it will come up easilu if you are talented.

Both skills and higher education are good. If you are not from a rich or Wealthy background, I always advice to go for skills first before acquiring higher education. This will go a long way in helping you to sponsor yourself without needing the assistance of anyone. This will also help to avoid frustrations in your career pursuit.

It depends on the financial capability of an individual I think if you have the money to go for the higher institution and try as much as possible to get quality education, then you can go ahead and concentrate in your higher institution but if you do not have money to get quality education from the institution you can learn a skill or sometimes you are just an average individual is always better for you to learn a skill before you go into the higher institution.

With the suitation and state of our country presently, it is noticed that people with good skills succeed more than some of people who pursue their higher institution. I mean more than graduates, if you have a very good skill it will be also a god idea to combine with good educational grade.
I understand your point and I can categorically name your country from your comment but never let the situation of your country makes you think less of education. Skill without education is useless even if the person is rich.

Truth is, it's not as simple as education or experience. Greedy employers want both. A recent survey by recruitment specialists Universum found that 58% of leading employers value work experience among graduates more than grades or the name of their university.

higher education pursuit is very essential because education is the best legacy you can have and you can always use the knowledge you derive from education to rule your business successfully. there is always a different between an educated an uneducated individual ruling a business because the packaging will always tell

In today's world, it is no longer fashionable to be smart. You have to be strategic because it is really hard to live. But being strategic is also like being smart. You use your brain to make a way. And no matter how tangled or difficult the problem is, it can still be solved so it is really better to be strategic. The smart one, that's all there is to it. And even if you are smart, if you are not strategic, you will still lose. Because if you are strategic, even if you are not smart, you can still match the smart ones. If you are smart and then you have a strategy, then you win.

It best one learn a skill. That what many of us are getting confusing. Our thinking faculty on education can be quite misleading. Majority sometime think no education no better means of living. The best knowledge and gift ever that will surely be working for you is just a skill(s). High Education knowledge is only limited to official places only but the skill you have will work anywhere for you both official ways and local ways.

According to my opinion, one shouldn't affect the other. Skills are one aspect that is very important for a business and so is higher education. Skills increase productivity but higher education increase sales and marketing.
