Just be on time, and do your job. Also I've learned that if you don't get to know your co-workers on a personal level it's much easier to get fired. I've only had one job my entire life since I've been sick and that's when I was 17 but I never got to know any of the co-workers and everyone else were decent friends. Rising to the highest peak in one's chosen carrier in the work place is very possible. But not everyone enjoys or gets that privillage of getting on the top because of obvious I'll will from coworkers who would just not let you be.

Rising in ones working place doesn't need prayer or charm but needs your records in time of conmentment, no bad files about you, you must have add one or two things to the company growth not down fall of the company, you must be truthful to your boss and respectful then I think you have no problem about your rising or promotion

When you are trustworthy and diligent you should ride to the top easily, in my previous work place I started as a marketer within a year I became the manager because the management recognized my hard work and dedication to the job.
