If you want to rise to your desired level at your place of work you must be honest in all your day to day dealings for you to be entrusted with duties of higher responsibilities. Another point is working hard to get things done on time. Another point is having good relationship with your customers and co-workers.

Honesty is the best policy. Dedication is the key. If someone is honest and also dedicated in all what he does. He will soon rise to the top. But nowadays, people don't usually channel the same energy they can channel to their own personal work to other people's work.

I am almost at the top and I am where I should be in the industry (my chosen field) without paying homage to any Godfather but total commitment to work.

Honestly, in some workplace it's our God's Grace a worker can be promoted. Some workers has decided to date thier boss in other to get high position in the company. Some workers offer thier boss free sex to get promoted.

I understand most employers use people and dump later when the know they are less productive. But that doesn't deter us from working effectively as expected of us. We should always work as if we are watched and will be rewarded by God. That's my philosophy though.
