How can a business owner handle dishonest employees?

I agree with you, that should really be considered. Most employees will not be dishonest for nothing. If it is not for their own selfish reasons then it could be because they fear the manager. Another issue could be they are being pressured by other people in the workplace to lie.

You are right. Many people get bullied at work by their annoying co-workers and this is the reason why many people might get pressurized by their co-workers to lie to their boss. It all depends on the situation. I have also faced many annoying co-workers in my life. This thing should be addressed by the human resource department.

If what you mean is for an employee to stand up for another's mistake to avoid bullying I guess that is a very childish attitude. He can complain to the boss on the real score and actually the bully can even be suspended or terminated for acts inimical to the welfare of the company.

I do not think that many employees would complain to the boss because what can a boss do in such a situation. There is a difference between getting bullied in school and getting bullied at work. The boss might think that the employee is not a kid and he can handle himself.

What I mean there is that if I caught them red-handed i will not have time to listen them because there is no need for them to say it because it will not work, I'll just give them a suspension which they may not return back again.
