Many employees may change jobs. There is no hard and fast rules related to this. You can switch jobs whenever you want. You may get the right kind of job opportunity and you could avail that opportunity. So, how often do you switch jobs? Why do you switch jobs?

I started as a writer working form home and I am still a writer working from home, so you can understand I don't switch jobs. IN the last 10 year, I have done just two jobs that were not related to writing and both of these jobs did not last long.

I don't switch jobs much at all. In fact I'm still doing a lot of the same stuff I've been doing for the past 10 years or so. I switched a couple times, once working for the call center and the other time I got a decent job for a startup.

Normally, what works for me is this. I don't switch jobs too frequently, as this can raise red flags for future employers. I make sure to stay in a job for at least two years before moving on to a new one. Unless, there is a situations which is appropriate where I needed to make a move sooner than that.

I do not switch jobs that much. This is because when you are dedicated towards a single organisation, the chances are that you may get promoted due to being loyal. However, this is obviously a personal choice. You are free to switch jobs if you are being offered better opportunities.

I don't like switching or changing jobs frequently because it will change a lot of things in my schedule which I've adjusted to fit in with the job I have. I make sure to get a job which will cover for me at least 2 to 3 years before I may start thinking of switching if I'm no longer satisfied with the job.

I don't see any reason why I should be changing jobs unless the job that I am doing is not giving me the kind of pay that I want. I believe that once the working environment is good and better for me, I shouldn't think of changing the job anytime soon.

I am actually not the kind of person that is constantly looking to switch from one job to another. This is because before I apply for any kind of job, I will make sure that that job meet at least 80% of what I needed from a job. This is so that I know it's something that I will have a plan to stay long in for a while before considering another option.

Getting a job that has the possibility of sustaining you for two to three years is better and should be encouraged. I can't deal with changing jobs yearly, and that is why I focus more on getting a job that is right and proper with a pathway to how I keep getting better at what I do.

Honestly, it is very frustrating moving from one job to another frequently because he will have to start over the whole process of training and getting used to the job and even some of your colleagues for a long time. After going through all this whole process, the person will still end up resigning and getting another job to repeat the whole process is tiring.

I'll never accept to work on a job which I'm going to quit within one year. Where do I have to start from? It will be very long for me to stabilize in life because I don't have a permanent job to build on.

Exactly! Whenever I am comfortable very well in my current job, I don't think I would be interested in switching from that job to another because of a slight increase in the salary they are going to offer me. There are so many other benefits that I am enjoying in my current work which I might not be able to enjoy in the new job.

I have changed a lot of jobs in my life, and this is because I came to young companies that were promising, but over time they lost their potential and therefore salaries became less, which is why I wanted to leave it

Indeed, it can be frustrating to switch jobs. Many people may never be satisfied with the current job and they may need to switch until they get the right kind of job. This may be particularly true when you do not get the kind of job that you like.
