How can small scale businesses resist competition from large scale businesses?

Market research is very important,it is not everyone that is the customer of big business,so a small scale business must seek out those who do not patronise big business and those who are not satisfied with the big business concern.
 
This will be really difficult being that it is a small business going a big one. All i can say is that you should try and scale up that business.
 
Well most times the competition between small and large business organisation can be still tremendous that the smaller business do not have what it takes to compete, you just have to focus and your own.
 
There is no way for a business to resist competition in business either from a large or small scale businesses. You will need to know the weaknesses of your competitors and improve on it.
 
You can definitely not resist competition but instead you will be able to make some effort that you will be able to offer value that the big companies are not offering.
 
This is what I know, small scale business can survive if they choose a less competitive location, doing this will help them survive big scale business. Originally, small scale business can not survive or out beat big scale business.
 
I don't think small scale business has any capability to face Large scale business when it comes to business competition and productivity, large scale business will surely bully the small one
Yes absolutely no way that a small business can actually resist competition from eBay and an already established business unless in the small business decides to produce and other kind of food is different from any of the established businesses.
 
The failure of the small business is due to there policies. Been a small business, the business can grow in time. If a business can spend money on awareness and make the product to be better than the big once, the business will grow also
 
Lol. There is no running away from the fact that every small scale business that comes into the arena of already existing large scale businesses must face that competition through thick and thin
 
I think the small scale business needs to work more on the branding and packaging and also checking the competitors business if there is any fault and use it as the advantage
 
l have seen so many small scale businesses in my area that have failed because of unhealthy competition with the large scale competition. Most of those businesses tried using the penetrating pricing scheme to enter the market but yet could'nt succeed because the large scale businesses offers large discounts when they realise that strategy.

Right from when we were sperm cell in our fathers testes we were in competition and that is nit going to change anytime soon so in order to be the best strive for excellence in all that you do no one is going to slow down for you
 
Small scale business usually have proximity advantage because they are mostly located close to people for immediate access. Small business should also maintain quality .
 
A big business that has been in the industry before your business would be very difficult to push aside. Having said that, you could still strive in the industry if you well informed in that niche. Now, my strategy is that you look for the loopholes of the strong rivals, search for solutions to the loopholes and integrate it in your services or product.
 
To compete and beat bigger rivals in the industry, small business need to focus on their basic consumers. Recognizing and marketing to the basic consumers allow for quick sales, more revenue for marketing and the ability to grow a following.

That is a safe move to avoid a head on collision with a big competitor. You need to create your own style of marketing and operation that will be appropriate for a small business.
