How can small scale businesses resist competition from large scale businesses?

Impossibility can't never be possible. There is no how small scale business can stand to be a competitor with large scale business. The only thing for small scale business is to keep producing quality product and keep advertising. It should forget competition, it should focus on how to grow.

Small scale business can put up a fight with the big scale businesses by making sure they increase the quality of the products or services they are rendering. This is the most important thing that customers look for before they consider price, it's very important to do this if they want to have any chance against the big scale business.

We should always do business on a small scale because if we do business on a small scale then our experience will move forward and this process will be good for big business. If we do small business, I will experience any loss, so we will experience. You can always ask big people who are doing big business to start small business too. Satisfy ourselves to do small business.

Small scale business should take baby steps. They can't really expect to compete to well established business right away. First, they must ensure quality products, successful marketing strategy and attract customers. If the competition is location wise, they should give a thought on relocating their business to the area they will be patronize.

The only way to resist the competition from the big company is not to enter it in the first place. If you so do, it can be a suicide for your newly set up business. This often called swimming with the shark. There is something called blue ocean strategy, this means to search for a place where the competition is non and set up your business there. Blue ocean strategy is not necessarily about location, it can be an exploit in the market and tap it.

A small scale business competing with a larger one is quite not that simple, as it won't be an easy task at all, I you can do as a starter is to ensure quality services and product is what you render, also maintain good customer relationship service, treat your little costumers very well

A small scale business cannot resist competition from large scale businesses, all you need to do in such cases is to re-strategize in the sense that you take your business online or move to areas where your goods and services are scarce, re brand and place better adverts, in cases like this, you will grow from small to big.

l have seen so many small scale businesses in my area that have failed because of unhealthy competition with the large scale competition. Most of those businesses tried using the penetrating pricing scheme to enter the market but yet could'nt succeed because the large scale businesses offers large discounts when they realise that strategy.

In your own opinion, what are some of your views about how a small scale business can resist competition from large scale bussinesses?
As a small business owner, you have the ability to develop a deeper, stronger, more personal relationship with your customers. ... If your customers know you provide a relationship they can't get at that big business, they'll come to you first even if it costs them a little extra.

The only way to resist competition is knowing who your audience is and how they can help you grow your business. A small business owner should build up loyalty with their customers. These customers will help them hold up the business my patronizing you the more.

To be very honest with you the question you are asking is very difficult to answer and besides there is no any proven way you can compete with the Giants company if you are dealing with a small scale company sometimes the best way for you to do this is for you to try as much as possible to deliver a good and quality work, you need to make your work stand out from the Giant company and try as much as possible to gain the trust of people as this will help you grow your small business.

Yes, building a strong relationship with your customers is one of the ways you can also resist the pressure from the already grown organizations. When a small scale business is able to maintain mutual relationship with its customers, it will attract more customers to that small organization because the few customers as at that time will spread the goodwill to the general market and thus with time, the business will finally grow.

I believe that if a small-scale company wants to reach high, as a large-scale company it must be constant in its goals and projects. Excellent quality product, make offers and good prices. You must always have a good location that attracts customers and to retain them you must give a unique treatment. You will see that little by little this company will be able to reach a large scale and compete with the other large company.

Small businesses need to go laser focused on a chosen market segment. I am talking hyper focused, zeroed down to the barest minimum then expand from there as they grow.

To compete and beat bigger rivals in the industry, SMB’s need to focus on their basic consumers. Basic consumers can range from college students to a particular demographic. Recognizing and marketing to the basic consumers allow for quick sales, more revenue for marketing and the ability to grow a following.

It is not very much easy for small scale business to withstand big scale business competitors. Because the small scale will have to struggle and stategies on how to manage the market influences and manage the customers. But big scale business knows how to manage the market influence due to large capital and finances.

They can do this by minding their own business.
They shouldn't be carried away they should be able to focus on what they can provide.
Competition in business is not bad but you have to compete with those in your category.

Small scale business should understand that all fingers are not equal

small scale business can resist competition from large scale business only if their goods are cheaper and their products are always available. Availability of goods is the sole of every business, if a customer comes to your shop and always get what he wants, it doesn't matter whether it is a small shop or not he will be satisfied.

The large scale business Can attract customers by giving them big discount but if a small scale businessman has to compete with large scale business, then must satisfy their customers and make them trust on his productsx so that they could not be attracted towards others.

There is no actual way you can resist the competition of the Giantss company you really need to concentrate in your own areas of production and make sure you deliver a quality product to people and try as much as possible to gain the trust of people that's the first step to start

The key to competing as a small player is to stay focused on your market and not be tempted to deviate into areas either side of it, as you then run the risk of diluting your offering, and undermining what you have established. Some SMEs have succeeded by providing services that their much larger competitors are simply unable to do as efficiently or as cost effectively

Small scale businesses do not have the capability to lock horns with the large scale ones. Large businesses are already established and can withstand and nullify any threat the small ones pose. So competition here will only affect the small ones, a way out for them is not to engage with them in the first place, rather they can operate their way and try to look for ways to go about it without having to compete.
