Most of the guys i see in my locality plaiting female hair are also involved in this.
They even tend to pull more crowd.
It is a nice business if coupled with hair making and even make-up

a man can work, he can work because it is not a very hard job but you need attention. but, so far, I have not seen any man do this job: D is a job for women. but it is not impossible for men either.

I Have seen men do it and I must say most of them even do it better than women. Where I cut my hair I was surprised to see one of the guys there weaving hair as well. The job is only common amongst the women hence people feel it's ment for the women alone. Just like driving a taxi is common amongst the men but women also do it.
