Workplace and Professional Etiquette: How does one deal with a boss with a superiority complex?

Dealing with a boss with an inferiority complex is not easy most especially when the boss is a female and most of the employee are males , she will want to be bossy because she always thinks the male employee will be disrespectful.

The best way to deal with a boss with superiority complex is to mind your business and be respectful to him no matter what he does to you so far he is not violence or abusive with words.

To deal with a boss with superiority complex is not a hard thing to do. What the fellow should do is to be almost right at all times. Don't be late to work, make sure you don't cross your boundary. Be polite, deligent and respectful. He may change if not posessed.

Such a boss will try to exploit every opportunity to show why he or she is better. To avoid that constant show of shame, every project or assignment given to one must be done to perfection.

Even though a bossy boss will still find a way to prove his superiority in a perfectly done assignment, the fact that one knows he has done that job to the best of his ability will limit the hurt.

Unless you are the rarest of the rare, there are times when you think your boss is a jerk but you have to understand the reasons behind his behavior. When you understand what's with the boss, you will be able to cope and manage there relationship and boost your career.

I understand your point. I think as employees or workers there are better ways and means of which to voice out our grievances without sounding disrespectful or rude.

When you begin to question the manager anytime there is fault or make a bad decision, they will always see you as a rebel and this can cost your job in the long run. And this can have a great effect on you if that is the only job you have at hand.
I understand your point and I know that in every workplace, there is always a staff who is not afraid to stand up to the the manager whenever the latter displays oppressive tendencies.

In a case like this, I believe it is preferable to have a completely professional connection with your supervisor, and you must guarantee that you complete your job or duty promptly and properly.

This is good and it can be a dangerous move especially when you have a lot of docile people in the workplace. They are going to left you alone in the fight until you get consumed. It has happened to me in the past and I can't forget that experience.

I'm sorry to hear about your bad experiences about the issue. Sometimes we need to be very careful while advocating for our rights or the rights of others in the workplace.

It’s not a deal…its a choice…accept it or leave…A boss is under pressure…the superior side is one way to vent. You learn to get along…the boss is human too, they also need to hear they had a good idea…live what you wish to see…you want happy place to work, then lead by smiling, not the phony grin everyone sees through…My thoughts are once you see the boss, you get tensed up and it shows on the outside…time to break old habits. Ask the boss for advice…you make them feel they are part of the team, and not just a title. Speak with him, not to him.

That's one thing a lot of people fail to understand; you need to understand your boss and that's part of the needs that one has to fulfill while working.
Know your boss and what he wants; walk in that line so you don't have issues.

An inferior worker should know that he has to respect and honor his boss or superior officer at workplace. I believe that aside the rules and regulations that governs a work environment, one must have self respect and value for colleague at work irrespective of the level attained.

someone needs to be very calculative in his or her move especially when it's concern the authority in the workplace. When the incident happened, I was given a stern warning that I may lose my job if the situation occur again.

It is not not to be at the forefront of agitations for workers' welfare in the organization you're working in. You might be treated as the scapegoat if any disciplinary action to be taken.

I have worked under different types of a boss and I'd say a boss with superiority complex wanted to be praised all the time for his bright ideas. Just remember that you have to be polite when the boss is wrong otherwise he might not take it well if you correct his mistake. Just be discerning with your actions.

A good example of superiority complex when a boss is trying to cover his feelings of failure and inferiority, so he tries to keep hammering warning to his subordinate to work hard in order to avoid failure .

Boss with superiority complex we always want to take credit for every good idea that generated in the world please even when he is not directly involved. A boss with superiority complex has a bloated ego, he only want you to praise him or her most of the time.

I feel a worker should be very professional in his or her work. He should understand that no matter what, he has a superior in the work and the person deserves respect. This way problems would be avoided in the work.

The most immediate answer for some contentions in the labor force is to speak transparently about concerns and assumptions. To have a sound working relationship, you need to understand what your chief (and your colleagues) anticipate from you, and they need to understand what you anticipate from them. I further suggest keeping away from accuse language. "You've treated me impolitely" may put your supervisor on edge, while "I sense that I am not regarded" will voice the issue without setting fault. Keep in mind, your supervisor has to understand what you need to perform. This incorporates devices and supplies, yet additionally social-feelings.
Personally, I don't really care about the kind of personality my boss have but what matters to me most is to do the job that I'm supposed to do and always get my salary when I am supposed to be paid.
