Workplace and Professional Etiquette: How does one deal with a boss with a superiority complex?

There is no better way than telling him or her to the face that they are wrong. Maybe that will make them adjust their attitude.

To deal with su h kind of boss, you have to be very professional. And also humility at it's very peak or else you could end up having serious issues arising from argument and all of that

I'll just focus on my job, professionalism and code of ethics, ignoring his superiority complexity. A true leader doesn't show coercive power rather a participatory or coactive power.

I think this is just the right thing to do because focusing on your job and doing your responsibility will be the best thing because that was the main purpose for which you were employed into the business.

You have to be very professional and courteous when dealing with a boss with superiority complex. You must always remain calm while asserting your rights and feelings in the face of provocation.

Well so far as you are an employee I think it is actually better to endure everything from your boss and try not to upset him or her in any way and you have have to avoid annoying him

Well, dealing with a boss, with a kind of superiority complex, is not an easy task that can be carried out by everyone most especially the most educated employees, they may not be able to control their emotions at some certain stage. The only think is to always exercise patience and avoid anything that will provoke him.

I think it is natural for the boss to have superiority complex. If you are being paid good and if it is your dream job, never pick a bone with a boss having superiority complex.

The most immediate answer for some contentions in the labor force is to speak transparently about concerns and assumptions. To have a sound working relationship, you need to understand what your chief (and your colleagues) anticipate from you, and they need to understand what you anticipate from them. I further suggest keeping away from accuse language. "You've treated me impolitely" may put your supervisor on edge, while "I sense that I am not regarded" will voice the issue without setting fault. Keep in mind, your supervisor has to understand what you need to perform. This incorporates devices and supplies, yet additionally social-feelings.
Businesses should be able to inculcate very good working etiquette in their employees. This would ensure that staff put up the right behaviour at work.

A boss with superiority complex. This boss will cause oppression among employee and make employee depressed with the work.

In other words, being plain and transparent should prevail in the workplace. Always have in mind that respect is reciprocal. There is hardly any problems communication cannot bring to light.

I do not mind a boss having a superiority complex, in fact every boss I have come across have this. But I would never work with anyone who is toxic.

Though this might be the right option but in a situation where it's your boss, and you actually risk loosing your job here. Would you go ahead and tell him or would you keep it to yourself?

Lol, I would say one shouldn't go about making his boss seem inferior. Try to humble yourself and know that no matter what you have above him as long as you are working for him, he's your boss

First of all I believe that the boss in your workplace is your superior because he owns the business and as such there is nothing wrong in having that kind of complex. The only problem is when he is abusing his power.

The only way you can have your way in the workplace where the manager have superiority complex is to play by his rules. Never show that you are superior to him in one way or the other. Always accept whatever it is even if it does not go with your believe.

It also requires awareness to avoid them again in the future. Dealing with a superiority complex is possible. Learning to have more honest, open dialogue with other people and how to set and pursue more realistic goals can help.
There are lot of people with superiority complex most especially the female boss who's dealing with many male employees as his subordinate ,all the employees need to be honest and show submission to their boss,

Well, this is just a absolute submission and obedience to such manager even you are not at fault. Most managers are always harsh to their employees and they hate being questioned or corrected by their staff even when they are at fault.

When you begin to question the manager anytime there is fault or make a bad decision, they will always see you as a rebel and this can cost your job in the long run. And this can have a great effect on you if that is the only job you have at hand.
