Inasmuch as all of them are the same but sometimes Petty corruption will give people an opportunity for early detection to prevent it from getting out of hand, just like you have just said .I believe that one may be a little bit easier to detect and control easily.

In the Philippines a person caught stealing from the government will be facing a jail sentence. If the amount of money involved is 50 million pesos or more then that is grand corruption that is liable to a life sentence. Throughout the world , corruption is corruption and stealing is stealing no matter how small or big the corruption might get, and i believe the punishment should be the same but in my country petty thieves are being hanged while politician they embezzled a whole country fund is being pardoned.

I agree with your assertion that all forms of corruption are bad irrespective of the magnitude. However, prospective punishment must be meted out to people who are involved in large scale corrupt practices.

I don't think there is a way not to define any form of corruption, something really bad! Whether it was grand or pertty!

Every form of corruption must be frowned upon and non should be encouraged, both of them are almost the same and there is no country that supported any of them and people who are engaging in it are doing it secretly... I do not see any difference in those two.
