Were you ever inspired by other forums when starting yours?

When you started some of your forums, were they ever inspired by other sites and forums? I tend to be inspired by a lot, and I will admit some forums have inspired me to make my own. Has there ever been a time where you were inspired by another forum to make your own?

When I created my first blog or a forum, or even an online store, I took inspiration from other people. However, I made sure that my websites offered something new and were not copy of existing websites.
