Should Telegram be responsible for the number of scam accounts on their platform?

I don't think they should be responsible for the scam on there platform, because it is free for all. People registering on it should also be mindful of who they run business with on the platform. Believe people get scam put of there own greed

Telegram has become the go-to social Media platform in order to promote cryptocurrencies and to converse with people about cryptocurrencies as well. Many of the online platforms that do involve cryptocurrencies such as exchanges and PTC sites have a telegram account that is linked to the official web page which users can access in order to gain information about the website and any future events that may occur in the coming weeks.

However as much as this has been used as a legitimate way for these creators to reach out to the people making use of their websites, it has also been a way for many people to create scam accounts where they impersonate the original website and obtain people's information or the cryptocurrencies and this can be very detrimental to the funds that they are holding.

My opinion the number of these accounts have increased drastically on telegram and I believe that telegram should have a system whereby they ensure or verify all of the accounts that are being created in order to minimise these scam. Surely a platform such as this one should have security measures in order to ensure the safety of those that are using it. Do you think that telegram should be held accountable for the cryptocurrency scam accounts that are constantly present on their platform?
I believe the management of telegram is not doing enough to track those scammers in telegram. The rate at which scammers burst into my account in telegram is alarming. They can really find a way out of this if they want to.

I don't think telegram can primarily be held responsible for the number of scams happening on the app. They try to give privacy to the users so they are not aware of the conversation going on between people on the app. And as such cannot be aware of what's been said between different people using the site. So it'd left to you to be aware that most of the cryptocurrency noises out there are from scammers and safeguard yourself from them.

Scam is the major reason I hate telegram till date, in fact I don't have it on my phone. I wonder how an organization will develop such a great tools and not have any security measure to cub every act of crime. On telegram anything goes, anybody can dupe anybody without any consequence. This is very bad. Many of those dubious internet scammers now hide under umbrella of telegram to perpetrate their evil.

Yes Telegram should be responsible because I think they should have made available a security structure to check mate the fraudulent acts and prosecute any offender or culprits.

Of course not. Before you sign up, there is a terms and conditions there telling about your security. Scam numbers is just doing buy people mis-using the platform. Those account should be reported to be ban.

Telegram is an open chatting platform build to improve communication, they are not responsible for any act committed by any of there user. The user should be responsible and not the telegram company

I don't think so, because greedy people are the ones who fall for scammers, if you're not greedy you can never be scammed
You just have to be care and control how you feel about getting money
Telegram should not be held accountable.

To keep your Telegram communications safe, don't add bots to your chats, and be aware when you're in chats and channels that include them. ... Many cryptographers and security engineers, though, including White, say that the safest way to use Telegram is just not to use it at all

Well telegram can’t be held responsible for the scam happening around their platform but they Have to be notify their security and they have to be looking and be watched ,but then again telegram has turn out to be another thing entirely just get to know they have added you to one group or the other telling you of stupid advantage that it is even too good to be true.in most cases I report and leave most of those groups.

The fact that you allow something doesn't mean you cause it and you should be responsible for it. I won't blame them but I will advice them to regulate and ensure the platform is checked against this illicit act on order not to tarnish the application..

Telegram is not the only social media were scam occur, people are being scam on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc, but telegram has become the base for crypto owners and their subscribers, so the rate of scam on telegram is getting too much and telegram need to look for way to minimize or stop it.

yes of course they should. the number of scams on telegram is becoming too much all in the name of airdrop bots, cryptocurrencies miners and even more.
The users are some how trying by reporting some of those scam bots but the it seems that telegram team aren't actually putting measures to actually curb the rate of scams on the platform

Of course telegram should be responsible for the number of scam going on its platform. I have experienced it before and I don't think it is a pleasant experience for me or any one. I think telegram should do more in identify and closing this scam groups.

Its been a crossing though on my mind about the prevalence of crypto or scam accounts on telegram. It now seems like its the preferred platform to go to. Since users can hide behind an anonymous account it makes it impossible to unravel these elements behinf these things

They re not responsible but i believe there is a mechanism they can put in place to curtail its occurrence on their platform. Most of this guys hide behind the veil of anonymity to commit this atrocities. Though only gullible people will fall for strangers they just met online.

Telegram is an informing application, is a mainstream stage for cryptographic money fans to examine news, patterns, and costs with individual individuals from their local area. Tragically, Telegram is additionally a mainstream stage for tricksters and criminals, to a limited extent because of the way that it's incredibly simple to mimic someone else or association on Telegram.i don't figure they ought to be considered answerable for the way that the application is a famous stage where either the genuine and phony individuals register day in outing. Simply that it tends to be limit by the group as other interpersonal organizations supplier are doing..

For me.. no but they should do something about it. Like have a absolute security and rules so frauds wouldn't be able to have victims. They should review the reports fast and when it's proven to be a scam close or delete their accounts and channels already. Don't just put a mark on it

Law enforcement agencies cannot detect telegram data received from ISPs because they do not have encryption buttons. The use of bots ensures that the user's identity is not revealed, so it is difficult to know who is promoting child pornography and terrorism.

Telegram should not be held responsible for the scammers using their platform. All they did was create a social media platform just like any other and it has its advantages that it was meant for. But scammers have used it to scam people, the same scammer also trick people in Facebook and Whatsapp. So it is the responsibility of each individual to take care not to be scammed by them.

Unfortunately, Telegram is also a popular platform ... these scammers ask for access to your Coin Base account, so that they can use it ... scammers can fake phone numbers. Note that users who have contacts with you will see you by the name they have saved, not by their screen name.
