I totally agree with you that once in a month is actually ok for one to do giveaways on their website but I also do think that a website shouldn't be doing giveaway as it tends to attract people who know love the website for it's content but just for the giveaway.

The concept of the giveaways is for marketing purposes. You give tokens to your customers for their patronage. I would prefer a giveaway every month or every 2 months and even every 3 months. The longer the gap, the value of the giveaway should be increasing to make it palatable for the receiver.

giveaways are good in business but it should not be overdone, some rational customers are ones that don't get carried by whatever you give them as giveaway. They just want to do standard business with you, that's all.

I do agree. It is not a wise decision to give freebie too often. Not only it will create unnecessary financial burden on the bedget, but also will make the people more habitual of such bonuses and they will start demanding such bonuses again and again.

Giveaways are very important in business. it helps to draw the attention of customers back to you but it must not be overdone as some will interpret the good gestures to be something negative thereby refusing to patronize you anymore

Well I think giveaways should be done to mark special celebrations. Example of you are celebrating your birthday, or there is a Christmas celebration or anniversary.
