Government job versus private job?

I have always considered private job as a temporary job that you can do while still searching for government work because it is not actually the best for you to work for private individual ,is either you work for the government to me or you establish your own business.

It all depends on the nature of the private job you are doing because if the private job is very lucrative and it's related to your area specialisation I don't think there's any big deal looking for government job you can build your career and become an hot cake in your field.

The only time government jobs can be enjoyable and better than private jobs is when you are having a high position. There are many low level government workers who are finding it difficult to survive out there

Definitely because the pay is not that used to satisfy all their needs if you see most of them doing well it means they are doing all the businesses since there's enough time which may not be there for private jobs.

For a lot of people including me it is almost impossible to work for private company when they do not give an option for pension after retirement because that is not actually the best especially in this modern society.

Government jobs are trash they have advantages but to be realistic there are very few people that actually get to enjoy the job for example back in the day what my mum used to gist me about government jobs was one the gave contract to staff and the general public at large. For my grandmother, she said back in the day you used to have a job waiting for you once you're done from school. right now they owe and can barely pay when due and that is giving the private business now the mind to misbehave.

True, even does in high level offices in the government sector, they are also into other forms of business they do t just reply on their government salaries the worse are does in lower levels who are seriously struggling to survive.

Pros and Cons About Government over Private
Private- higher payment, no retirement pension, pay more tax.

Government- average payment,pension,average tax payment and can enjoy free house with no water bills or elec.

In my country Nigeria people do not love working in the private sector everyone is always willing to work in the government sector it is that part of employment by you are well paid there are financial incentives for you like pension and gratuities.

What I have heard from my elders an friends is that the factor of job security is higher in case of government jobs whereas the in private jobs , you can be fired out anytime if you don't perform well.

I'll go for a government job not because of the pay or what nots but because of the security of the job and the time it affords to focus on other things.

Government Jobs pay less though there is job security in government jobs though in government there tend to be redundancy unlike in private jobs where the pay is high and you work to your full capacity.

I would prefer working with public sector to private sector. Being a government staff provide lots of opportunities to be promoted to the highest position and there is relative job security.

You can be sacked anytime in some cases without any reason in private sector but that cannot happen in public sector.

Government job is good, infact perfectly good being to the fct that it's a pensionable job. But then it's far better to project your own private biz in 10years then establish.

The only thing a government job guarantees is job security and gratuities after retirement. I prefer working in the private sector as you can develop yourself better and their salaries are much better.
