Did your new bonus/gift for patron affect the businesses

While we were giving out new year bonus in form of gift and special discounts to customers during that first and second week.

Some customer came thereafter asking for their gifts and special discounts, as they were mocked playfully but their fellows. They claim too how they are grand patrons and vip as in line with that fact they deserve a reserved gift even when the bonus week has elapsed.

Unfortunately, we made it known to them that week for the bonus has elapse. Do you think this is a good news for the business or should we not do something like this next time?

There will always be those customers who think they deserve special treatment. If you had a promotion that lasted a certain period of time, then that's that. You layed out the rules, they failed to follow them. It's on them to make it to your store or business before that due date.

You are free to give them deals if you want, but are within your right to decline them by saying something like "Unfortunately that deal has ended, you can read our current deals and rates here." And then list what prices are from there.
