Many things caused it, as of Covid19 for example many people had to stay at home after the lockdowns and couldn't go to their works and they lost interest at working after that happened. There were also people who got so scared from the virus so they simply stayed at home and quit their jobs just because they were so scared.
Another reason might be the fact that the population is getting increased and there are not enough jobs for everybody so people either give up or don't find a proper job for themselves although they are trying.
There is also one dark reason which is the despair of people from life, some people just had enough from life so they don't have the will to choose a job and work in it.
