I think return/refund policy is one of the major challenges facing e-commerce. When you go through the work of delivering a product to a customer and it turns out that the customer doesn't like it and wants a refund, it creates a big problem for you. The work of delivering products to your customers doorsteps is already stressful, so imagine doing the work twice because the customer wasn't satisfied. My take on the challenges of the e-commerce sites is the authenticity of the sellers. There are so many fake products that are being advertised in Facebook. I have not checked the largest e-commerce site here for fake products but I'm sure there are some. However, when there is a complaint on the seller it is immediately suspended and probably removed from their roster of sellers. If the e-commerce has a way of checking their sellers then there will be no such problem on fake products.

Some of the challenges facing e-commerce are online frauds, paying for one thing and seeing another physically, on the side of the vendor high rate of returns from customers, some may ghost you when you decide to do pay on delivery and you'll have wasted your transportation money.
