Generally, there is nothing bad in trusting you frieny or colleague in business but I feel it might be risky because some friends or colleague might take advantage of your trust and this might ruin the business plans.

But at the very least, you should be able to trust your coworkers. You certainly wouldn't want to find out that someone else in the office has been taking credit for your hard work or passing along things you say in confidence to the wrong people. So it is wise to take note of when a colleague may be less than honest.
The question is it good to trust colleagues that you do business together?
To me the answer is yes, all relationship should be based on trust and not only what you want to gain from such individual,but ability to be sure that things will not go wrong.

Well, you have to trust your colleagues or working partners for peace to reign. But the trust shouldn't be 100% accurate cause nobody is to be trusted. But it's advisable to trust your business colleagues, but if you find it so difficult, then do the business on your own, become the owner of the business
Trusting people is a very hard decision. But if you are doing businness together trusting is one of the best key to success to what are you doing. But if you are having trust issues to your colleagues its better to talk them personally.
To me is not bad to trust a college when doing business together . but first of all before people become business partners they should be able to know their differences before they can work together . therefore the already agree to their own terms and rules before working together there is already trust among them and not bad.

when it comes to business, trust no one, no matter how close you are to the person, tho there need to be a level of trust when doing business but at the same time, be watchful, never let your guard down

It is not bad atall to trust people or your colleagues at work or in a business. Neither is it good to relax and trust too deeply when it comes to decision making or business running because things you cannot predict or see coming will happen behind your back and not only affect you but also affect the business and company. Nothing wrong with having trust your business partner, it is true the bond of trust and love that guy make the business grow successfully, believe me without trust the business can never grow and without trust there will be always arguments and disagreements.
I think it depends you who your friend is, if your friend has a record of making things disappear then it is wrong to trust him or her, but if not then you can trust your friend, this will in turn help your business grow.

@Profuk57 what about friends that are very good at pretending. They will so fake their loyalty in your presence not knowing the scheme they are planing. Most of us trust such individuals in business dealings because we don't know their true intentions.

Trusting colleagues should be an important part of doing business together, however, with the way things are, I would rather distrust everyone and go the legal way than to suffer any form of betrayal or losses.
Like I said earlier if your friend has a bad reputation even if he claims all allegation put on humor her is false I will not trust such person. Even the person pretends around you him or her will not pretend around every body.

Never trust anyone in life; the normal reasoning of a human being. But when it comes to business, trust is highly needed so that the end goal can be attained and both parties in the business won't end up loosing their investment.
