How to Handle Clients that Refuse to pay?

Not getting paid is frustrating, how will someone work and not get paid. It makes one to have trust issue with clients. And if this kind of things continue to happen, it will make one clients that are good character to hustle to get their work done. I hope all client owing one way or the other pay their workers for the beauty of freelance.

Lol that won't be funny nor be easy at all because the client might never come back to buy any goods or product from you again but all you really need to do is just be calm and try to no his or her house later you call her first and explain situation of things to her or lie to her that you need the money to buy feeds or products but I think if she doesn't want to respond well u just let her or him be but keep calling with encouraging words sha

As a business man and woman it is a constant thing we meet such clients one time or the other
Well in such a case, diplomacy will come in handy, what I will do in such a situation is to approach the client that refused to pay in a gentle manner, reminding him of what he is owing me.
If after that he refuses to pay me, then I will leave him and from then onward he ceases to be my client,in business we win or lose sometimes. So loosing one bad client won't hurt me a bit.

Some clients have funny ways of behaving. A deal was made at and at the end you decide to play the smart card. Avoiding clients like this are very hard we just pray not to meet people like them.

It depends on your rapport with the client, how will you work for a person and you won't get paid after working, it's not done. The best way to treat people like that is by sueing them do they'll know what they did is wrong

If I
Things gets ugly and frustrating, when you don't receive payment after a service. I was told of a writer who finished his work beautifully and delivered it to the client on time, but what did this writer get in return? No pay. He kept on disturbing the client for donkey years to no avail. Hence, if you were that writer how would you get your payment?
If I were the writer, firstly, I would persuade my client to pay me with every available legal means that would not seem offensive. If he doesn't comply, then I would have to contact my lawyer to charge him to court for none payment of his debts and dereliction of his responsibility.

If it is a private job as in the case of the writer, the first thing to do is sign a legal employment contract, where there are terms of service based on the laws. If the writer does his part and the client defaults, a legal complaint can be filed where he is obliged to make payments for the service provided.

Well , my pattern is that I have to get part payment before i start the work , and upon finishing the work I will be paid the remaining amount before I submit the work to them . Is unfortunate that people are like this; refusing to pay someone that works for them

This your method is the most secure one because not very many people are reliable except there is a binding agreement witnessed by a legal practitioner that could stand in anytime things want go outside the plan. Trust should not be the basis of contract but a clear understanding.

The problem now is that there is no agreement that would assist him to get his money.
That is the reason there should be an agreement between client and sales man.without an agreement,he will only be lucky to get his money.

You handle client that refuse to pay you by being calm, give them reasons why they must pay and also plead with them, you can listen to their complains and give them discount if possible, but if they still refuse to pay and the money is small you can let go of it but if it's much that client need to be sue to Court to pay the money. You can not run loss on your business.

It's a difficult one, to be honest and sadly, that's the nature of the beast. Early last year, I did translation work for this supposedly respected site called PoliLingua where I stood to earn $100. I did the work and even made follow up amendments. Guess what? They never paid me after accepting the job. I emailed them a couple of times but never heard back. I cut my losses and moved on having learnt to never ever do any work for them again. Sadly, in our line of work (i.e online), this is very common.

A right client or so called client who refused to pay only wants to ruin you. It's better if the business is to render services, you will understand that you're only paying yourself for the service you've rendered. But when it involves other costs like internet, material costs, purchased goods with your own money, and still the client isn't paying when it isn't that you have a pay later policy, then run from such clients.

A big firm or company can't do without debts, there must be an agreement duly signed by both parties or requesting from to bring a collateral that worth their debt or they bring reputable guaranto

This is why it's very important to work with or through a third party company when delivering your freelance services.

Take for instance, Fiverr and Seoclerks wouldn't allow any party to be cheated because the client will pay the service money in the company's account and once you deliver the job, you get your money.

I think it's for the best to lay some conditions when making a deal with a client. Let's say they are obliged to pay a down payment before you would proceed with working. In that way, you still got paid somehow. It's enraging when clients doesn't hold up on their end.

I suggest the writer should keep on disturbing him until he pays. If he doesn't, then I give him a bad reputation and go because he is the only one, maybe I will find better ones. Once you must remember when your client refuse to pay you is don't ever complete a job for them or you should always be paid before completing the task.

Client that refused to pay most be not be handle with ease. Any transaction most not occur between you again. And you must report him or her to the nearest police station

As an independent contractor or business owner, having a client refuse to pay you makes for a difficult situation. Fortunately, you can adopt some strategies to help make the client hold up their end of the deal. Communicating effectively is an important part of convincing clients to make payments. If this doesn’t work, you have a few legal options you can take to secure payment from your client.

Firstly we have to take some money in advance or sign a document that You are giving whatever they needed and they pay you because if someone at the last don't accept that you have written any document for him then what we can do?
