How can an employee handle an abusive employer

The employer firstly has to set an example of the way he wants the employee to behave through his /her own lifestyle then after that if the employee defaults, he should face punishments such as paycuts and also attend seminars talking about behavioral pattern of employees.

Are there really still people who do this kind of stuff?
In a private enterprise , you face the threat of getting fired since the word of your employer (of higher rank) is favorable, so its better to gather bits of evidence for an investigation request since abuse of any sort is a crime , that being said ,it really depends on what you have to offer to that enterprise to begin with , the more your skills you squire the less likely they are to mess with you

The way an employee can handle abusive employer is that the employee need to understand the employer and leave him or she with her character, we all know that everybody can not be desame in the life

Firstly, employee must understand who he/she is working with and the behaviors of her/his employer. So that there won't be misunderstanding all the time between them. And then employee must be always calm down and exercise patience with his/her boss.

An employee can handle an abusive employer by doing his job well. Keep to time and never go late to work. If he is still being abusive, then you can talk to a counselor to help you talk to him on your behalf.

In this part of the world, majorly in the office section, we've seen and heard some employer getting aggressive on their employees. So how can an employee tackle and curtail such case without getting sacked
You just have to tolerate your boss but not his excess. We should be careful not to confuse being a servant to being a slave. An employee is a servant who helps his boss and not a slave without a say.

Truth is that most employers thinks that the world revolves around them, and that they can talk down their employees. If you have an abusive employer try to find out what you did wrong that made him to start misbehaving, when you find out where you went, apologize and change your ways, but if it turns out that you did nothing wrong, rather your employer just want to show off, and he refuses to stop, ask yourself if you can condone his excesses, if you can't then look for another job elsewhere.

Where I work there have been cases of abusive employees. The first thing to do is give a verbal warning, if after 3 verbal warning you continue with the behavior, you will receive 3 written warning. If even so the employee continues with the fault, an administrative file is opened which allows a legal dismissal.

When the employer becomes inhuman to his workers then that is the time to leave the company and file a report in the department of labor. It is sometimes difficult to leave your job when the salary is good but if the employer is a tyrant that would be putting more stress on your shoulders then it would be hard on yourself. I got sick and was hospitalized twice with that kind of employer so my wife urged me to leave my job. And that's what I did because the stress was like trying to kill me.

In cases like this, I advice the employee to speak calm and nicely to his boss. Explain how you feel about his or her attitude towards you, let them know you are not comfortable with it and that it is affecting you productivity at work. If they seem not to listen to your petitions. It is time to leave the job and look for another one. Before it starts affecting your mental health.

Shift your focus from your boss to your job.

A bully is unlikely to change their behavior, so your first option is to work to change yours. Instead of focusing on the boss who is trying to intimidate you, focus only on the details and tasks of your role. You have direct control over your performance, so make sure you are focused on the right thing, which is your job not your boss.

The more emotional power you give your toxic boss, the more your boss will focus on you as a target. A bully is more interested in reading your vibe than analyzing your performance. If your boss never gets your eye contact he/she never gets the invitation to come into your emotional space. When you focus solely on the tasks of your role you stop giving off the vibe of fear and anxiety over gaining approval from your boss.

Well, I've been really fortunate to never have had this horrific experience of dealing with a verbally abusive boss, I know everyone is not lucky. I think you can just talk to your boss personally, commending his efforts and from you can actually tell him you're also giving your best. You can tell, your words can change him

You have to Talk to the person to try to understand what's causing the behavior.Give concrete, specific feedback and offer the opportunity to change.Look for ways to minimize interactions between the toxic employee and the rest of your team.

It is a very senstive issue to deal a abusive and rude employess. I think there should be some defined rules and regulations for the rude and abusive employess that how to treat them and handling them in the business terms.

An abusive employer is bad for your mental health. I recommend complaining to him politely about the way he treats you, if the problem persists then you should just tender your resignation and move on.

This is a very common situation in most workplaces and The decision is left to the employee to make.Size your options to leave or stay or better still talk to your boss if he/she is approachable. If you decide to stay you should be ready to endure for long. Don’t leave until you’ve a better option

I once had a boss who complain and tend to be abusive alot when the business isn't going as planned especially when the company break even at the end of the month. The experience was so bad I actually planned to resign before I was advised by a friend. Most abusive boss tend to like and respect employee who has established personal relationship or relationship aside business dealings.

Its really common in every company but first of all the boss need to give himself that respect and also love your workers the way you love your self not that you do whatever pleased you or anything you feel like but seat them down to talk and am very sure the company also going to mover higher than the way it is

The best way to do that is to be calm and always respect the employer. Do the task given to you in time and also dont fight with any other staff in the office. Maintain good human relationship with everybody in the work place. And lastly if things are not still the same, i will advise you quit the job and look for other jobs.

as an employer it is a must to meet with such employees
I think a peaceful dialogue should be enough to handle such people and such situations because calling someone aside to complain about the way you're being treated should make them change their attitude towards you, if they have a heart at least. But if a peaceful dialogue doesn't work there should be something the Constitution covers such behavior
