Have you ever closed a forum down for a short period of time?

Was there ever a time where you closed your forum down for any reason? I have never really considered ever closing my site or forums down once. Though I can imagine if you're working by yourself, and don't have anyone to help out, it's hard to run a site by yourself. So, has there ever been a time where you needed to temporarily close your site or put it on a hiatus until things got better?

I have mods and people running things when I am away, so I don't need to stop anything.

I have not intentionally closed down my forums, however, when there was a DDoS attack on my forum, it was down for a week. I also made some mistakes while adding plugins on one of my forums and I could not solve the problem immediately, therefore, it was down for over a week until I hired a developer to work on it.
