Hey all :)
I have decided to start a course to learn CV writing to help as many people as possible to get a job as soon as possible. With this useful course, you can write your CV better and better than you used to.

If you want a high-quality Cv for your career, don't forget to read this thread and send me a pm:

The first lesson will be free for you to be sure of the quality provided to you, and if you are interested in continuing the next lessons, you will have to pay only 400 Biznotes, which is in appreciation of the efforts I make for you.

So the first lesson will be about the difference between Cv and Resume. I have noticed that most people don't differentiate between these two words in my professional or even personal life. Today, you will know about the difference between them and which is better to apply for jobs.

Two years ago, I researched and found that CV is a British word while Resume is an American word, but this is not the real difference, so please come here to explain everything to you:

1- what's a Cv:

Cv is a detailed explanation of your academic and scientific qualifications and educations in full and in detail.

2- Where to use cv?

It is used in applying for scholarships or postgraduate studies, where the universities ask the students who are applying for grants all their personal information and your professional history in detail and in full, regardless of whether it is related to the specialization you requested or not where you must explain all your academic and professional experiences, such as the degrees you obtained, the research you carried out, or the awards you received.

The number of pages in a CV is usually 2-7 pages.

3-What's a Resume?

a Resume is a brief and detailed presentation of your qualifications on the job you applied for specifically, so it is used more for job applications or even summer training

And for this, you should write only the qualifications required for work and avoid other skills as much as possible, such as your experiences related to the job, which can benefit the company you applied for. The study must be related to the job; skills and certificates are the same.

The number of pages should range between one to two pages at most. Hence, you have to be smart, write your resume in an organized manner, and focus only on your skills and experience related to the job because anything you add away from the job will detract from your chances. They consider you not suitable for this job. That is why you have to show them that you are the right person for the job and deserve an oral interview.

and here the first article is finished; tell me your reviews or if you have a question in the comments below ^^

The CV presents a full history of your academic credentials, so the length of the document is variable. In contrast, a resume presents a concise picture of your skills and qualifications for a specific position, so length tends to be shorter and dictated by years of experience

That's for the clarification. You've clearly different between a cv and resume. To be frank I don't really know what resume is but you've made everything clear.

First of all kudos for the great thread. Most times cv is always misused for resume but you have clearly make the difference between the two.

Thank you a lot for this, I always thought that C.V and Resume are always the same until I come across this write up on here now I know better

Thanks for the detailed explanation. I always thought they are the same. Now, I will use resume and CV in the correct context. That's a good thread!

To me, I can see CV as the presentation of you academic and scientific qualifications of which some one acquire over a given period of time. while Resum. is an explanation of experience, presented on the particular job you are seeking.

Yes you are right, CVs are lengthier than resumes and include more information, particularly details related to one’s academic and research background

I juggled the two together. I never knew the difference between CV and resume. Thanks to your thread because I have always known the two to mean the same. Thanks for the analysis.

CV gives all details from personal information to references while a resume gives information but in short

The difference between this two word are the cv represent your the presentation of your educational qualifications to an organisation in seeking for jobs opportunities while the resume is a letter of acceptance of your employment.
I really like the way you explain the difference between CV and resume. I tried to explain the same thing to my younger brother over here but he is finding it difficult to understand what I'm saying.

CV and resume are the same. This can be used or quest from the new applicant that what to start new job. This will explain more about the new applicant that what to resume job.

Thanks for the clarification, I had always thought they where the same thing and can be used at anytime, I guess I was just mixing the whole thing up before.

Writing a CV is always an important thing to notice. One perfect CV can give me one dream job. This is very informative gonna apply your tips while writing a CV.

Cv (curriculum vitae ) is a a Latin word that means " course of life" , is has no length limit and is use for outlining the whole detail of one's academic course while Resume, comes from the French word " to sun up" and outlines only work experience and skills.

The difference between the cv and the resume is that the cv is a description of your academic qualifications specifying your area of specialisation while the resume tries to specify the level of or your experience about that particular job.
That was a detailed explanation you just gave on the aspect of a cv and a resume, your curriculum vitae contains your academic qualification in your area of specialization while your resume deals with the experience you have on the jobs you have been doing.

The CV presents a full history of your academic credentials, so the length of the document is variable. In contrast, a resume presents a concise picture of your skills and qualifications for a specific position, so length tends to be shorter and dictated by years of experience (generally 1-2 pages

The difference between a CV and a resume lies in the length, format and purpose of these documents. The CV has no length limit; resume are usually one to two pages long. A CV details the entire course of a candidate's academic career; A resume summarizes skills and work experience. CV is used for academic purposes while resume is used to apply for the job.

I feel they are both quite similar because the serve the purposes of job acquisition and contains the information of the applicants as pertaining their qualifications for the job .

The goal is the same, you present them for a scholarship or a job or an internship, but if you want to take it more deeply, there is a difference between them.
