What is the difference between staff and employees?

The terms like "Staff" and "employees" are generally used for many different kinds of workers who may be working for any kind of business or any kind of organisation. In many cases, such kind of terms are used interchangeably as well. So, is there any difference between the two?

I don't know of any difference between a staff and employee. They are the same thing, it's just synonyms. Although, someone will argue that staff are office workers are in cooperate jobs. Employees are probably those who work in companies and the rest.
