Ever back out of an investment?

Was there ever a time where you backed out of an investment? Maybe it was close to happening, but you changed your mind at the last minute. Have you ever backed out of an investment? If so, why? I imagine I would back out if there were some concerns about the investment.

If you backed out of it, did you ever attempt to re-invest later? Or did you invest in something else?

many years ago I was invited to invest in a business that deal with automobile tires. I was offered 25 percent stake in the company by investing $10K. I almost invested and then backed out. The company did not have strong financials.
