Would investing into AI be a high risk investment?

I am iffy on AI, split, unsure. I like the idea of AI, but I feel it will be abused in the very near future with how advanced it has become. From the use for writing, photos and now even videos are becoming highly realistic. Do you think it is time to actually invest in AI itself? Or do you think it would be a bad idea to invest into AI? Is there even money to be made in investing in such a thing?

I do not think investing in AI would be considered high risk investment, in fact I believe it is one of the safest investment you can make. sadly, I have not invested in any AI companies because we don';t have any AI companies here.
