Did you almost invest in something that failed?

Was there something you almost invested in that resulted to be a complete failure? Maybe you were close to putting an investment in, or you had money in, but pulled out at the last second? I thankfully never invested in a failed endeavor. Have you ever almost invested in an apparent failure? Do you know anyone who did get their investment in?

I have either made money from my investment or lost money from my investment. I never almost invested in something that failed later and it saved me from a huge loss. However, I have seen this happen to a lot of people.
