Will internet be free someday?

I thought there are free internet in the united state compare to African countries. Seeing this thread is some how strange to me considering the fact that US is a developed country and we do beleive everything overthere is we'll provided for..

I don't know the possibility of Internet being free because thousands of people deployed into internet everyday,if there will be a particular slot or department where you can visit your life Facebook platform where they have free mode I think it will be possible but when it comes to every department of internet I don't think it it will be free.

Because the Internet is the most used in today's era, the Internet is important, all businesses are being done.May be the internet is freed in the future.Free Internet Access must be Considered as a human right,

Well, internet can be free someday as you have thought but it is gonna take another form maybe some particular phone brands will only be allowed to enjoy the benefit but it can't be free for all devices as this would hamper some organizations from making profits.

Internet has always been free and will always remain free, what you should be asking is that if data will be free someday to be able to browse the internet. Because without data there is no way you can access the internet, it like a race track, without a sport car how do you expect to ride on the race track, so to do that you need to buy a sport car which signifies data so you can ride on the track, because the track is always free to ride on. Like wise internet, without data you can't access it, and providers offering data are in to make profits and I don't think that will stop no matter what. Data will always be sold and as long as it's like that there is no way we can browse free someday. Even if you are using a public WiFi always know that someone out there is paying for that service so you are able to browse free.

Hmm. I don't think this is ever possible most especially in my country because service providers make the best of their money from internet facilities provided to their customers. Although, there are some organizations that make it look like it can be possible by providing a free WiFi for their staff.

Internet is one of the most widely use nowadays and i don't think it will ever be free . this is because many people are making money from people buying internet and at same time if internet is free people will be using it for an unecceary project like porno wataching.

It's definitely possible. It may not be a great service but even a basic internet package available for everyone would be a great start. Just good enough to do the basics online especially as a lot of things now rely on you having internet access. And anyone that wants an improved service can just buy better packages as normal.

I don't think the internet will ever be free any day because there are a lot of equipments, tools and manpower that are needed to make sure that internet is available. I don't think there is any organisation or company that will be willing to put in all those resources and at the end of the day will not make a return on their investment, so therefore internet will never be free.

Am not sure if it can be free ,because the government would always find means of generating revenue and won't think of making it free

I don't see any reason why the internet will ever be free while because a whole lot of things are been done the internet on a daily basis, people host conference using the internet, people sell their products online etc so the internet will be more engaging in the future.

Its a gradual process, who would have thought internet access would be easy to come by, some platform are even giving free internet at a given time frame..it's all about time.

I don't think internet can be made free to all, even though internet now is widely use by people to access information, government will want to attach some charges to it. The charges might not be too high so that everyone can access it.

Elon Musk as a project called Starline, which is aiming to provide free internet the world over. The comp is testing free internet in many parts of the world including the US and the UK.
