What makes people gamble even after they loss badly?

I am one among them who visit gambling sites or online casinos regularly or at least twice a week , even after losing hard earned money and also knowing the fact that gambling is not an earning option. But I have came across these reasons from my experience as to why people can't stay away from gambling despite losing everytime.

* Players treat gambling as a fun activity and losing some part of their income to casinos doesn't bother them much.
* Players place bets with smaller amounts like $1 and win , but when they bet higher amounts like $100 for a 2x multiplier , they lose. This happens because some casinos do manipulate the results and make people lose when they bet higher amounts , the site owners would have known the player's betting pattern and accordingly rig the games like dice , mines. ( Note - I am not telling all the casinos are manipulating the bets , there are some legit casino sites as well).
* Players usually continue playing in casinos only because of their varied bonuses offered for wagering.

According to my experience , one should always stay away from gambling , and also should not encourage others to gamble , because the result of gambling is not good , though there are some people who make money from Sports betting ,

Though the easiest solution would be to avoid it completely, but you have a good point in what you have just said, Like you said, they have the believe they can recover what they have lost, hence they keep on trying and trying, while their addiction increases.

I have been in this phase , even sometimes thought of taking a random loan from the bank and satisfy my greed by winning money. But now I realised how bad the gambling can be and it almost impacted me mentally. I stopped at right time though.

Its the thought that with the next bet they could win again and so they keep on trying, then when it get to much they feel they have lost too much and have to recover it. In such a way,gambling then becomes addicting to them.

I concur with you ,gambling will only shrink someone ,not to earn a good money on it,of you are a gambler you have the intentions of winning , and if you failed you have the intentions to regain what you've lost . that's how gambling works

The main reason behind that is addiction and nothing else because gambling is very addictive and could ruin a person just like any other addiction
