I can't forget what I know has a monetary value. And I would be exchange my gift card as soon as they come in.

I use different apps and many times even I lose track of that so I need to remind myself of checking all apps at least once a week

I have never used a gift card and I do not intend to use gift cards either. The fact of the matter remains that I may receive payments in gift cards and sell them instead.

I do look at the opportunities to save money and mostly these Giftcards are available at discount so they do help in savings

As far as I'm concerned, there's no point in getting a gift card just to keep them without redeeming them as quickly as possible. The more you keep them is the more you stand a chance of losing them because of getting expired. Personally, I don't have any business with gift card. I would request for the person to send my PayPal funds.

Yeah all gift cards have an expiry date, so you'd want to use them up as soon as you can. I don't think it's a year expiry, but maybe a few years, but still, it's best to use them as soon as you can.

I know there are sites you can sell gift cards back for less money, but it's an option if you don't like the gift card you receive, as some people might not want a gift card that can only be used at one location.

It was just like someone I gifted Amazon gift card that I won from a gaming forum and he ended up not using it for over 1 year. The gift card ended up expiring and he lost the money. It was actually a $50 Amazon gift card. He learnt his lesson from that very day to use any gift cards once he gets them.
