It is one of the most profitable form of investment no doubt but this type of investment are really for people with so much money to invest because I personally will not be able to invest in real estate for now until I have so much money to start.
A very good number of the worlds population of billionaires have claims in real estate but it is not the most lucrative. Investing in technology , oil and energy tends to be more profitable.
