Is it Important To Communicate Delay in Salary Payment to Employees?

I believe this is a very important thing an employer should decide to do when he finds out the employees salaries might be delayed. This is because it is very bad to disappoint your workers by not paying them at and when due after they have given their best at their jobs. So, any delay in salary must be communicated to the workers before hand so that they would be stranded at month end.
 
It is not good at all any delay in salary payment. When employees are not given salary in time they won't show good performance and it will be not good for company etc
 
Some employees, especially the high-value ones, may lose confidence and consider quitting their jobs if the leadership of a company can't be confident in the way they manage the affairs of the company especially when employees face delay in salary payment.

Of course the employees has every right to know why the salary has been delayed. Towards month ending they are in anticipation waiting for the salary to be release, before then, they would have made list of the debt they need to pay off or provision to be bought. keeping reasons for delay in salary may make them loose confidence in you.

@gbadebo9 you are right about the destruction of life and property but we are humans, we think and analyze things before acting. If the management comes out plain without hiding anything there won't be destruction of property.
 
If there's a delay in salary and it is communicated to your employees it signal to them that you care for them and they are in your agenda. It shows you know their importance to your company. It also inform them that they are not taken for granted.

Because, if there is a delay in payment of salary and the employer didn't carry the employees along as to why the salary is been delay, there may be strike and shutdown of work and these may result to experience workers quitting the job for another.

I don't see anything bad in explaining the situation of things to your employees when it comes to a delay in salary payment. Being plain and truthful with your employees will boost their confidence and trust him you.
