In my view, i think it is very necessary to communicate salary delay to employees. Actions theu say speaks louder than words. If there's a delay in salary and it is communicated to your employees it signal to them that you care for them and they are in your agenda. It shows you know their importance to your company. I personally hate to see my payment being delayed, talk less of not communicating to me the reason for that', I think it is ideal that the business owners should communicate to the employee anytime there is going to be a delay in payment
 
It's very bad to delay the payment of an employee because paying an employee early motivate them and delaying payments demotivate them, so I will advise you to pay them early as possible

Of course it is, sincerity is very important when handling your employees. If for any reason you can't pay their salary you owe it to them to explain why there is a delay, believe me they'll appreciate you for the honesty.
 
It is not good at all any delay in salary payment. When employees are not given salary in time they won't show good performance and it will be not good for company etc.
