There is absolutely nothing wrong with someone choosing to work after a successful retirement because he his still healthy and can still go about daily routine. Retirement shouldn't be the end of one working.

Once you have reached the full age of retirement, you can earn as much as you want and still reap the full benefits of your Social Security. ... If you go through full retirement age and return to work, you will not be subject to a retirement income test.

It is really not a good thing.... Retirement is meant to make an employee rest and have a better life for himself or herself. Having a business of one's own can still be a good idea after retirement but not working for someone again.
@Jumoke12 sometimes rest becomes a luxury. It's a pity that some aged citizens having retired from service couldn't afford to stay put without doing something to fetch income. The looking at the economy, the cost of being jobless might be costly.

Work like starting up your own business will be fine, you have to find something doing when you retire, you can start from small business and with time, it will develop to a big business with determination

People who work after retirement often remain more active and socially connected, which can mean better overall health and fewer medical issues. Working part-time can give you a sense of being part of something without being tied to a career and long hours.

Working after retirement solely depends on the person itself. For example if the person have been investing before retirement I don't see any need to work again because most of his or her Investment would have yielded good return before retirement

Most employees after serving a company throughout their productive years still enjoy working and want to take up a new role.
Some employees continue to work simply because they truly love their job. And some remain in the same field, but take on different jobs that are more fulfilling or require fewer hours.

If you have more needs for more money after your retirement and your age can still carry you to still work and earn more money, then there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. But in my opinion, I think that it would be a lot better if the person were to start a business instead of job.

There is no law governing this, it all boils down to individual differences and preferences. In my state for instance, a lot of people venture into farming after retirement despite still receiving their pension.

Actually one can start it's business after retirement in actual basis because he can give all the time and energy to his business after retirement. During his job one cannot take the apertunties because of lack of interest and time but after retirement he gives all his to business.

@Jumoke12 The more reason we encourage employees to actively invest while still active. One of such investment that is highly rewarding, secure and profitable is real estate investing. Although, real estate investment is capital intensive.

exactly... As an employee one should have a personal thoughts different from the employer and be thinking of how to create another source of income before retirement so that one would not retire and still be running helter skelter trying to make ends meet.

You can also choose not to retire. Retirement is not mandatory in most places. It’s a privilege. You can retire.
But your question was Can I continue to work after retirement?, so it means you plan to retire (you will take the benefits) and you also want to continue to work...
