Apart from hard skills, to become successful, whether in a job, self employment, or a business, you need also need soft skills. I think you have to be passionate about what you do, that's the most important thing in my opinion, when you genuinely like what you do I don't think it's very difficult to be a master at what you do, or at least a high-level professional in your sector or business.
