How many times do you take leave?

There are many employees who take a leave. They have to take leaves because they may not be feeling well or they may have some personal issues. So, when it comes to taking off, how many times in a month do you take leaves from work?

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to take work leave the way I want to. I would have love to get work leave twice in a year but that doesn't work like that in my workplace. I only get one month leave which is never enough. Working is very challenging which is why we need rest!

It is going to be something that is huge before I can consider taking a leave. It doesn't look good to always be taking leave from work. Taking a leave for flimsy excuses has never worked well for me at all.

Being sick is a different case, I do take rest when I am too frail or sick to work. For example, when I had corona, I did not work for 11 days. When I had dengue, I did not work for 7 days. However, I always made sure to check messages, reply to messages, talk to clients, etc. even when I was on bed rest, which meant I was still working.

It always going to be in your best interest to rest from working all the time. It doesn't mean that you have to be taking rest frequently but whenever it is necessary for you to rest you should rest. This is because when you keep overworking yourself without resting, your body is definitely going to break down and you will be forced to take the rest more than the way you are supposed to.

There are many companies that also offer bonuses to employees who take the least amount of leaves in a year. This may encourage employees to work more and take less amount of leaves. However, obtaining leaves when you really need it is also a very important thing as well.

Most companies that I know to have vacation packages for the employees only offer it once in a year. I've never seen any company that offers vacation packages to their employees more than once in a year because it is an expenses that is too high for them to be paying it twice in a year.
