Hidden businesses a thing?

Is there such a thing as a hidden business? When I think of this, I think of hidden night clubs, where it's behind an inconspicuous building or a front like a laundromat, but when you open one of the door you're graced with a night club or something.

Do businesses like this succeed? I imagine they have to advertise in some way, word of mouth is a start, but I can't imagine word of mouth would be enough. I bet some of these companies advertise online. Could a hidden business succeed?

I have seen a lot of people operating hidden businesses. These businesses are not hidden because they are doing something illegal. these businesses are hidden because these people already have some jobs or other businesses and they want to operate in secret.

The only business which is considered hidden is an illegally run business. It's not hidden per say because people are into patronizing the business but they do it in secret. Prostitution business isn't run openly, it can be regarded as a hidden business.

It might be possible that a person may be engaged in a business and he or she may prefer not to tell people due to privacy and this is a very common kind of thing. Having said that, they may not want people to interfere in the business matter and this may be one of the main reason behind secrecy.

Businesses have their secrets, it's what they leverage to make money. They will not expose everything publicly, if they do, everyone else will use the same secret to start the business. This is different from hidden businesses and the secret behind the business activities.

Nightclub business is absolutely a blast in my country. The only thing that you need to do as an entrepreneur who want to run that sort of business will be to have a high level facilities for the club, promote it very well, add strippers dancers to the club, have expensive drinks of all sorts and finally get a well known DJ to play for the club. You will be making thousands of dollars whenever your club holds.

Illegal businesses know their customers, they will promote it through medium their secret customers will know about it. I've seen many businesses promoted in the dark web.

The government of my country is actually very aware of the prostitution business that is going on in my locality. I am sure that they have something to gain about it because the spot which prostitute usually make use of for the business is always patrolled by police officers and they are not doing anything to stop them from doing their business.

Well, the government may be quite aware of many different kinds of illegal businesses and they may also be involved in consuming bribes. This is also one of the main reasons why such kind of illegal businesses may exist to begin with. They know very well what is going on in many neighbourhoods.

Exactly! I have always been of the opinion that whatever illegal business that is going on in a country is always giving the government something to still remain in business.

The government have the full right to terminate all those kind of businesses but they choose not to which shows you that something is going in the background without the knowledge of everyone.

However, in many cases, the government may not even care. There are many illegal factories running in my country that manufacture substandard food products. But still the government never takes any action against them.

The government cares about any of those without missing anyone of them out. Do you know why? It's because all of the businesses are paying them tax. It's an avenue which they are making money from, they will take all chances to take money off those businesses.

The government of my country will always care. They are the most greedy body that I have ever seen. They would task people for being alive if that's possible for them to do but unfortunately they can't. So, they have all their eyes fixated on all businesses - big, small, legal, or illegal as long as they see money from them.
