Would you ever bother to learn a skill that is no longer needed in society anymore? Maybe it's some old way of making things that are no longer used. I don't know what kind of example to throw out there, so I'm kind of hoping you guys have an idea of what a dated skill could be. I imagine the way woodworking was done back in the day was different, probably tougher than it is today with all the tool options we have now.

What do you think?

The primary motive for learning new skills for me is to generate income. However, if the skill is outdated and no longer needed in society, it indicates that I can no longer make money through that skill. Therefore, I will never learn a skill that is no longer needed. I would rather focus on skills that have high chances of making money.
