What do you look for when outsourcing or hiring?

When your business outgrows what you can accomplish as a solopreneur, you’ll need to consider hiring employees or outsourcing work to contractors and freelancers. As an entrepreneur who has done this before what qualities do you look for in potential hires to further prepare us for when it’s time to find the right person for our business’s success too??

There is not only technical aspects but there is also if this entrepreneur is someone friendly with people or someone for example that let you feel that you need him not he need you or these bad attitude to be taken in consideration too.

I look for a couple of things, one, skills and knowledge required to perform the job, two, experience, related to the job or task, three, asking rate for the employment, etc. I do hire stranger but most of the time I hire people I have known through online or offline medium for some time.
