Should business owners be the only ones to bear risks?

Of course business owners should bear the risks of business alone especially if they receive the profits alone. This is mostly common in the sole proprietorship form of business.
Or probably we can see that the employees are also those that Bear the risk of the business since they are directly working in such business to bring the business forward. Maybe employees are also among the risk bearers.
 
The owner of the business is meant bear the risk of the business alone. Since most of the gain is a profit to only the owner, it will not be nice to indefinitely make the employees only bear risk with you, unless if you've discussed it with them.
 
We have seen many businesses or companies crash due to different issues. The challenge is that many of the employees or workers in the business would get a job and leave the company. What should be the fate of the business owner or the employer. How can he get the business back to the initial state when the workers might have evacuated the company?
Using my country as a casa study I don't think business owner should be the only person bearing risk.A country where its the citizens who provide the infrastructure and amenities for that business to strive which is the primary responsibility of a good government.
There in such a country the government should be made to bear the risk as well.
 
As a business owner, one of the responsibility is to bear risk and don't expect your employees to share from the lost you have in your company. That is the ethics of the business.
 
The thing is that nobody really cares about you and I thought you have to put that in calculation and ensure that you are only making calculated decisions that is not going to ruin you.

The worst that he could do at that scenario is to transfer anger to the employees but he cannot share the loss with the employees because he is the owner of the business.
 
Actually business owner is the one that beer the risk of his business except that business is given to him or her free and the risk of the business also affect the workers who are working with the owner of the business because he or she can reduce there salaries.
 
That is exactly one of the risk that is involved in having your own businesses. You will have to bear the risk alone when the calamity comes and when you want to rip a lot of profit, you would enjoy it alone also.
 
Risk is for everyone in either a business or companies. Risk involve in either a business or companies affects everyone in that business or company, it is not only the Boss or business or owner.

Well, logically you have a point. Employees also bear part of the risk because they have to perform well to avoid being relieved of the jobs. But ultimately, the overall risk lies with the business owner.

Yeah, this is true. That means in this case it is not even the responsibilities of the business owner to blame employees if the business is not working as expected. They are the one to take full responsibility of their businesses
 
They are the ones who are going to be making all the money at the end of the day and as such it is not going to be unfair if they are asked to bear all the risk.

Yes, employers should always take full responsibility. Afterall, they are the ones giving instructions to their employees and they are the ones enjoying the profits as well.
 
Everybody who invests financially in any business will actually be are the risk if anything should happen. If it is a sole proprietorship business then the owner who invested the money will probably be at risk but in partnership business those who invested will be at risk.
 
The onus lies on the business owners because before you establish a business, you should know that the risk of that business is on your neck and that is why you should try as much as possible to boycott unnecessary losses.

I think the best way of dealing with a scenario like this is to disengage such employee. As a manager, you must be able to hand down instructions to employees and expect the best from them for the business to progress.
 
When it comes to the issue of managing and running any business and ensuring that they are in constant contineous operation adequate preparation and back up plan needs to be put in place for the operation to be running,ensure that employees are being trained and undergo mentoring from senior staff members.
 
Before you venture into a business especially sole proprietorship business you need to understand that you must take responsibility for anything that happens in the business. If you make profit you'll probably enjoy it and if you make losses, you need to take it and that's how business works.
