A while back I downloaded an emulator to play PS2 games. One of the games I emulated was ESPN NFL 2K5. And the cool thing about doing this, is that people have actually made mods such as; texture packs, updated rosters with player images, and so much more. Modding has helped bring some older games back to life. Another thing I found out, is that people have modded classic games like WWE Smackdown Here Comes the Pain, where they modernize it with currently wrestlers and move sets.
What I'm trying to say is this, with emulation, you can make modding classic games a lot easier. Have you ever modded an older game through emulation? Maybe you spruced up the graphics, added new character models, etc.
