Investing into esports a wise decision financially?

I feel like eSports is popping off more and more, and I wonder if investing in eSports would in turn result in some good money? I know there are big events all over the world for esporting events and I think it's only going to get better. What do you guys think? Is there a lot of money to be made running a eSports company or even a team?

There is a company in my home country that has gamers on the payroll. The company managed to secure second position in the world PUBG championship last year. I guess it is a profitable venture. However, this is not something I am interested in.
