How many different web hosts are out there?

How many different web hosts would you say is out there? I know of a good amount myself, but I did a quick search online, and it's said to be over 330,000 web hosting companies worldwide. Must make it even more tougher to find a reputable web host. I imagine a lot of them are awful ones though.

I don't think we can find exact number of web hosts that exist today. Just in my home counties there are thousands of web hosts, some are really big and some are very small. With the option for reseller hosting, a lot of people are in this business
