As a thumb rule, for any business, just to recover the investment amount, it takes around 3 to 4 years. After that some expansion and additional cost can take another two years. Generally it is after 5 years, that a business will start earning profit slow and study.

Yes of course. Return of investments can take a long time not just by weeks. That is why I heard from a friend that she regrets renovating a property or house with millions and then the rent is just in a few thousands every month. It will take long years to recover the investment.
