Surveys are not 100% effective but i can say 75% from my experience, major reasons why they are not 100% effective is that not everyone who fills the survey gives out correct information, some tell lies about their demographics and opinions, may be due to security reasons. Nonetheless, a survey of 75% effectiveness can be used for analysis and development.

True, some uses sugarcoated answers specially on survey earning sites only to get paid.

Yes this is very true I have come across most companies who give out surveys on their new products to see how their customers are reacting to it so they can know what is needed to be improved, while there are times where by before the products is launched they carry out surveys to know if the customer would be interested in the upcoming project

I say that they are quite efficient and popular in this field, especially for a company. you pay 0.30-0.40 $ / € maximum but from that survey you do a lot of advertising, it reaches a lot of people and you make your customers / traffic.
