Hashtags for Social Marketing

One of the common mistakes people do while marketing on social media platforms is use irrelevant hashtags or wrong hashtags. Hashtags are keywords that add “search-friendly” element on your social media posts, hashtags work on social media just like keywords work on search engines. If you use hashtags properly, your content will not only get visibility on the social media platforms but also help you gain more followers as you will be able to reach a lot of people.

Also a lot of people don't realize that some social media don't utilize hashtags much. One social site I don't use hashtags on often is Twitter or x. I hear it doesn't work like it used to and it's best to use your tweet to it's full advantage.

With Twitter it comes to being active, interacting with your audience, retweeting, commenting, liking, etc.

I have continued to make use of hashtags on Twitter when I post. I have not done any background checks on whether hashtags on X work just like it used to work in the past. I always make sure to use a couple of relevant hashtags. On my Twitter dashboards, I can see trending hash tags and I sometimes try to use those to get attention.
