Can other crypto currencies appreciate in value like Bitcoin?

Etherium has been striving in the recent time but it still has a long way to go, even if it is going to be a rival to Bitcoin in future it still can not be compared to bitcoin in the nearest future.bitcoin is already far gone up.

That's true, it's just a matter of time. It took Bitcoin years to actually get to where it is now, so other coins would also shine but it would take time. What's your take on Shiba? Do you think it would rise 2022?

one of the things i have observed about the price of bitcoin is that consedering the value of all altcoin it will be very difficult for any altcointo reach the value of bitcoin,as the pioneer coin,it is well recognised by most e-commerce platforms and its uses are far more than other coin.

Of course, yes. There are many different cryptocurrencies out there, and they are all valued differently. For example, ZEC is currently worth USD $1.73 per coin, while DASH is worth USD $29.85 per coin.

However, there's no reason to think that these coins won't increase in value over time just like Bitcoin has—especially if they become more widely accepted by merchants and consumers as stores of value. The price of any cryptocurrency depends on how much demand there is for it relative to supply (or vice versa). If more people want to buy it than sell it—and if someone can be sure that the other person will accept this payment without trying to negotiate down the price—then that person will want to buy it.

That has actually happened,that is in terms percentage appreciation,what most investors are actually looking out for is the actual value of the coin.

Sure many different crypto currencies could appreciate in value, they often do every once in a while, but they also depreciate as fast. For example, Bitcoin was all the rage, at over $60,000 at one point. Now it's depreciated considerably, as it's now down to a little over $16,000 per bitcoin. Not a good sign of things to come, but it could appreciate again one day.

This is what's supposed to be obtainable anyways but the thing is that the crypto market has taken a massive hit and isn't as lucrative as before. One will have to tread carefully when making any forays into the crypto market.

Indeed, just like Bitcoin, other cryptocurrencies like Ethereum, Ripple, Bitcoin Cash, and LiteCoin can increase in value. The same market forces that determine the price of Bitcoin, including that of supply and demand, speculation, information, and other variables, also affect the value of these cryptocurrencies.
