Etherium has been striving in the recent time but it still has a long way to go, even if it is going to be a rival to Bitcoin in future it still can not be compared to bitcoin in the nearest future.bitcoin is already far gone up.
Can other crypto currencies appreciate in value like Bitcoin?

Nothing is impossible, and it is very likely that they will appreciate as well, but this is a difficulty when compared to bitcoin, which is also gaining daily.
It's very possible to see other coins appreciate like Bitcoin,I guess if the investors invest at the right time ,he or she would make the right gains at the right time ,Bitcoin actually do have that high control when it starts falling other coins would fall

Of course, there is hope that other coins can appreciate in value like bitcoin. There are so many new crypto currencies crawling over the place, and their value keeps increasing from time to time. So, there's hope for them.
That's true, it's just a matter of time. It took Bitcoin years to actually get to where it is now, so other coins would also shine but it would take time. What's your take on Shiba? Do you think it would rise 2022?
Of course, over the last year, a few coins even appreciated more in value than Bitcoin (not same price though) but coins that appreciated over 10000% in value. A good value was Solana

one of the things i have observed about the price of bitcoin is that consedering the value of all altcoin it will be very difficult for any altcointo reach the value of bitcoin,as the pioneer coin,it is well recognised by most e-commerce platforms and its uses are far more than other coin.
There is a cryptocurrency that has surpassed Bitcoin in price but that does not make it much more valuable. Bitcoin is the mainn cryptocurrency and every other cryptocurrency respects its price movement.
Present or in future no other coins have the ability to reach bitcoin price, but one coin have in my mind and that is bnb,iam strongly believes one day bnb reach bitcoin half price.

If more people want to buy it than sell it—and if someone can be sure that the other person will accept this payment without trying to negotiate down the price—then that person will want to buy it.

It's really something difficult. This is why it's best to not just believe those people who make you believe that it's easy for any random coin to become like Bitcoin.
That has actually happened,that is in terms percentage appreciation,what most investors are actually looking out for is the actual value of the coin.

Sure many different crypto currencies could appreciate in value, they often do every once in a while, but they also depreciate as fast. For example, Bitcoin was all the rage, at over $60,000 at one point. Now it's depreciated considerably, as it's now down to a little over $16,000 per bitcoin. Not a good sign of things to come, but it could appreciate again one day.
Bitcoin is the biggest of all cryptocurrencies right now and as such it is one of the best market movers and other coins follow but sure you can be able to make a lot of money with others.
This is what's supposed to be obtainable anyways but the thing is that the crypto market has taken a massive hit and isn't as lucrative as before. One will have to tread carefully when making any forays into the crypto market.

Well no one can really predict about the value of crypto compared to bitcoin. there is always uncertainty and the value price of all coin is not stable it can raise anytime and also fall back.
What is obvious is that other coins will increase in value, but they can never reach the level of bitcoin. Bitcoin is on another level and it's high acceptability make it the most popular coin in the world.
I think Bitcoin is the leading cryptocurrency that we have at the moment, i don't think we'll have a cryptocurrency that will have value as Bitcoin.

I do not think that there is any cryptocurrency that is ever going to reach the current market dominance of bitcoin but of course we are going to have a lot of opportunities in the market.
Indeed, just like Bitcoin, other cryptocurrencies like Ethereum, Ripple, Bitcoin Cash, and LiteCoin can increase in value. The same market forces that determine the price of Bitcoin, including that of supply and demand, speculation, information, and other variables, also affect the value of these cryptocurrencies.
