I think you can access you account with your private key, it rare to hack an account with the private key, but even if someone were to get in, you can still access that account using your private key.

The problem however might be that you account would have been cleared, that is why it is important to activate the 2FA on your wallet where you keep your assets. It is another step to keep you safe from hackers.

It depends on the app which is hacked. If it some type of Trust wallet , binance , luno , then definitely you need the private kry and you can access it change the password since, the password can be changed by the registered phone number so that can be easy but if the acciunt does not has a private key then it can cause problem recovering.

Honest I don't think it is possible to get an hacked account back because you won't be able to track it. Prevention is always better and easier, we need to be very careful. Always make sure you have a strong anti virus or anti malware,always enable 2FA notification for all online accounts including binance, coinbase, Gmail etc. You could use Google authenticator or authy and change your accounts password as often as possible
